Cannes Film Festival - ENG Coverage and Live Web Production

Cannes Film Festival - ENG Coverage and Live Web Production
Each spring Woods TV travels to the French Riviera to cover the Cannes Film Festival for the American cable channel IFC. We provide a staff Producer, an ENG crew and full facilities for 12 days of round-the-clock production. In 2008 we also produced live content for IFC's web site, including a 24-hour web cam and a daily multi-camera web show from a balcony overlooking the red carpet. It was the next best thing to being there.

Mo'Nique's Fat Chance for Don Weiner Productions - Multi-camera Reality Production
After two successful runs on the Oxygen channel in the United States, the hit American reality show "Mo'Nique's Fat Chance" decided to base its third season in Paris. Woods TV worked closely with the show’s producers to identify and secure more than 20 separate locations for seven days of shooting. In order to avoid a costly PAL to NTSC transfer, we proposed four HD XD Cam ENG kits, each equipped with a PD-6 audio recording deck and up to six RF microphones. We crewed a local team of bi-lingual cameramen, audio engineers, lighting directors, set designers, hair/make-up artists and PAs. Then for the fashion show finale we secured and lit one of Paris’s most spectacular ballrooms.

 | In 2003 Bunim-Murray Productions hired Woods TV to provide a complete package of local personnel and services for its production of "Real World Paris" for MTV. We found and decorated the house in which the participants lived. We then sourced, payrolled and managed a local bi-lingual crew of more than 20, including directors, cameramen, audio engineers, set designers, lighting directors and coordinators for more than six months of around-the-clock production. |

Inside the Actors Studio - Multi-Camera Taped Production
When Bravo's celebrated American television program "Inside the Actors Studio" decided to interview Juliette Binoche and Jeanne Moreau in France, they called on Woods TV. We took over one of Paris’ most opulent theatres. For two days of shooting we installed an extensive lighting package and six cameras isolated to an OB van parked outside. We assembled a bilingual team of cameramen and equipment operators, and we brought in one of France's top lighting directors. James, Juliette and Jeanne never looked so good.
