2011 Women's World Cup - Mobile Studio Facility
For the 2011 Women's World Cup Woods TV joined forces with Movico to provide ESPN with a state-of-the-art mobile studio truck for their live daily coverage from Germany. The unit incorporates a hydraulic platform that can rise 3.5 meters above the ground and expend to create a fully enclosed 26 square meter studio set. The first floor expands to provide space for technical facilities. We outfitted the truck with three studio cameras, a build-out HD MCR with full video/audio facilities, an RF camera and jib. ESPN then branded the unit, dubbed it "Big Blue" and sent it throughout Germany as its primary on-site studio for live pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage.

The Tour de France, The America's Cup and More...

Since 2001, Woods TV has been working alongside the American sports network Versus for its live daily coverage of the Tour de France. Each summer we provide a pair of OB vans, a mobile studio truck, ENG crews, non-linear edit facilities, a crew of 75 and complete logistical coordination. Over four weeks we move the production through more than 20 different locations as Versus produces more than 100 hours of live coverage. Leading up to the Tour we also produce on-site ENG coverage of select European cycling races, including the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and the Giro d'Italia. In 2007 we did a double feature for Versus, first for the America's Cup in Valencia, Spain with a build-out MCR/studio and a crew of 30, followed immediately by a full production for the Tour de France.

Formula 1 - Live and Taped Race Coverage
In 2005 CBS Sports broadcast Formula 1 racing for the first time in its history, and it did so again in 2006. Working with a small budget but a strong desire to enhance the international feed they called on Woods to produce their on-site coverage for races in Monaco, Germany, Italy, Spain and Canada. We provided an in-house Coordinating Producer, as well as a Pit Producer and a Race Spotter with extensive Formula 1 experience. We arrived on-site several days before each race with an SNG/OB van and an ENG crew to produce content for CBS’s pre-race segments. Then on race day we hustled to shoot and send back interviews on the grid, during the race and immediately after the checkered flag.

2007 The French Open - Live Daily Studio Show
![]() | In 2007 The Tennis Channel secured the US broadcast rights to the French Open, its first Grand Slam. In addition to live coverage of the tournament, they decided to expand their programming by producing a nightly studio show from multiple locations around Paris. Woods provided a mobile studio truck, with a three-camera studio up top, a build-out MCR down below and a jib all around. We then secured locations with some of the best views in the city, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Bastille and the Chateau Vaux-le-Comte. Each day we set up the production in a new location and each night The Tennis Channel had one of the most stunning backdrops the world has to offer. |

Olympics, World Cup and Asian Games for Korea's largest broadcaster
Woods TV first met KBS at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where we provided a three-camera studio with a view of the Acropolis for several days of live production. Since then, we have regularly provided Korea's largest broadcaster with facilities and engineering support for its major sporting event coverage. We have worked for KBS across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including the 2008 Summer Olympics (Beijing), the 2006 Asian Games (Doha), the 2006 World Cup (Munich), the 2006 Winter Olympics (Turin) and the 2005 World Athletics Championships (Helsinki). For the Beijing Olympics we provided an extensive package of HD equipment, including studio camera chains and more than 50 VTRs, for integration into their overall technical infrastructure.
